What this area studies

Growth hormone is not released continuously: it comes out in pulses, governed by two opposing signals. Research in this area splits along that line.

GHRH analogues (Tesamorelin, CJC-1295) act on the growth hormone-releasing hormone receptor. Secretagogues like Ipamorelin act on a completely different one, the ghrelin receptor, described in 1996 — a receptor that was found before anyone knew what naturally activated it.

That is the reason the literature keeps studying them in parallel: they are two doors into the same room.

Three facts

1996

A receptor without a known key

The ghrelin receptor was characterised before ghrelin itself was discovered in 1999. For three years science had the lock and not the key — an 'orphan receptor'.

DAC

Two letters that change everything

CJC-1295 exists with and without a Drug Affinity Complex. That fragment is the entire difference in how long the molecule stays intact — which is why the catalogue is explicit about 'No DAC'.

44

The natural signal is 44 amino acids

Human GHRH has 44 residues, but its activity concentrates in the first 29. Tesamorelin is a stabilised analogue of that active fragment.

How this material is handled

Lyophilised and unopened, stable dry at room temperature. Protect from light, refrigerate at 2–8 °C only after reconstitution. Exact conditions are listed on each product page.

The literature, at its source

Human clinical trials per compound, live from PubMed. Not a selection of ours: what is published today, favourable or not.

This is a laboratory supply, not a research compound: it has no literature of its own.

It converts the numbers you enter. We are unable to provide dosing information, usage advice or personal guidance on any product.
